Corporate design engages with a commercial or promotional market where the client has a specific point of sale. The scope of our work here often involves not just design but the commissioning of photographers and editors. In most cases, too, we are asked to handle the printing process. Projects can consist of many layers, such as press packs, CDs, or a range of four or five brochures, all of them produced in large quantities for wide distribution, though not necessarily for retail sale. With each client, we work within the latitude of the brief. Aids Alliance, for example, required the design to be reconciled with strict branding rules, while the Imperial War Museum was interested in developing their corporate guidelines. Both Islamic Relief and Habitat wanted to experiment with different styles before settling on a basis for a redesign.
